About The Site

Hey what up ppl? ... well, this is what happens when I'm not at school - lol jk... yea, but school took too much time - I wanted to do this before the start of the track season... I knew it was going to be this 'dope' (lol), but just didn't have the time...

oh well, so how you ppl like the site? ok? kickass? Haha, please leave a comment in the guestbook... and look around!

ummm... anyways, but yea, who am I? - I'm an ELAC runner running from 05-06, when we had a nearly full FRESHMAN team in 05, and when we got 2nd in STATE in 06!!

I came from Bravo Med (ran 4 years XC + Track and 7 up to that point) and joined ELAC XC at an ALL COMERS meet at Wilson (them summer ones!!)... but yea I gotta tell you man, how white boy (aka Aaron - coach) got his whole team was fn HILARIOUS... haha

Ok, at first, he initially came to the All Comers meet for Sergio, the star runner for Franklin, which he kept in close contact for a while... so, he was talking to him, and Jason (who also decided to run for ELAC then)... and it was all chill (he was getting a pretty fast kid from Franklin to kick start his coaching career at ELAC)...

AND then suddenly out of nowhere, Oscar comes and beats Sergio - (in the 1500 i think)... and you should see Aaron's eyes open wide up then! (lol jk)... but anyways then he went straight to Oscar talked to him, Oscar was interested... and accepted... daym, you got one crazy runner - i thought after i found out! (and LUCKY, lucky coach... i could see why u gamble a lot!)

so then, i was like... man, if Oscar's gonna run, Sergio (who i knew was pretty fast) and Jason (Jason i knew somewhat well) also too, i was like, man this is gonna be one KICK ASS team! - yea, that was my thought... i signed up!! (i don't know, i just did it like nothing, i wanted to run more - away from high school xc in which i didn't do so well and, fn fast people to train with? and have/make a fast ass team? where do i sign up?)

Haha, soon after, i talked to coach, who was pretty amazed that i managed a 14 event track meet in that all comers!! LMAO... lets see (110H, 300H, 100, 200, 400, 1500, 800, 5K, LJ, TJ, SP, HJ, 4X100, 4X400) - yup all of them... and coach was like laughing his ass off, and i forget if he ever said i could join (but Jas put in a good word after introducing me to white boy)

anyways, it was worth it! i got to train with a fast team and help out whenever i can... it was great... but it was crazy too, i mean, we had like ALL these runners from the Northern League, I ran against and know mostly all of them:

Oscar of Wilson/DBM - like at least 50 times - i knew since 10th grade (4-5 yrs)
Sergio of Franklin - a fast runner i knew since 10th grade too
Jason of Franklin - a rival i had throughout all 4 years of HS and 1st year JC track
Victor of Belmont - i didn't really know him, but ran against a ton of Belmont ppl, knew a few

the wilson crew (who trained with us) - Eric, X and Jesse
and then a few other northern league ppl i didn't know, but ran (older Sergio of Marshall, Kevin and Nelson (Franklin))

And then of course - me (Matthew from Bravo)

that's 6 of the original 8 schools of the NORTHERN LEAGUE represented!! (in 05) That's just simply amazing! (Patrick (Alhambra) and 3 other sophmores weren't from the NL - Boggar, Sal, Juan (don't know where they're from))

AND well, in all, coach got lucky. yup coach - getting the backbone of a top-of-the-line state team (after getting a few more in 06)

yea, well, that's a little on how i got affilated with ELACand as you can see, it was fun and crazy running here!! i enjoyed it (ran the fastest of my life (so far) here) and well, this website is dedicated for the craziest bunch of kids to come out of the northern league! (AND the fact that in 02 we won, 03 we got 4th, 06 we almost, and the future is bright for ELAC XC!)
